To access the MCC Virtual Staff Desktops from off-campus:

  1. Browse to https://www.middlesex.mass.edu 

  2. Click the MyMCC link, and login with your MCC Account Under My Links, click Administrative Virtual Desktop.
  3. There are two connection options available:

    • Install VMware Horizon Client (left icon) - redirects to the VMware Horizon Client Download page. Connects to Staff Virtual Desktops through the VMware Horizon Client. After downloading the client, use secure.middlesex.mass.edu for the Server Name. 

    • VMWare Horizon HTML Access (right icon) - connect to Staff Virtual Desktops through an Internet browser.

  4. Connect via Horizon HTML Access: 

    1. Click the VMware Horizon HTML Access icon.

    2. Enter your MCC user name, and your Citrix RSA token information (PIN+token code), and click Log In.
      • This will enable access to the college's network resources and network drives. 
      • Request for tokens would need to be requested to the Service Desk by your Department Dean or Supervisor.

    3. Once your RSA SecurID information is authenticated, enter your MCC password in the Password field and click Log In.

    4. If you are entitled to multiple virtual desktops, the list of available desktops is displayed. Click on a Virtual Desktop icon to connect. Otherwise, you may be automatically logged onto the Staff Virtual Desktop.

    5. When you are finished working, click the Start button (lower left) and select Log Off, or click your user name in the upper right corner of the browser, and select Disconnect.
